Empty space is not empty. It’s filled with energy, transient fluctuations in quantum fields, bubbling with virtual particles popping in and out of existence.

Part of an ongoing series of work combining my fascination with the fringes of fundamental physics, the emergence of complex behaviour through the interaction of very simple rules, and my obsession with hacking our perceptual systems.
